What We Hope to Achieve with Our Handmade Olive Oil Soap

We have made it our mission to employ women from the Bziza village to craft all of the soaps we produce, by hand, from a plethora of soap making techniques and skin care knowledge passed down from many generations. These extraordinary individuals, along with a PhD scientist that oversees the formulations and standards, are true pioneers in the soap making and skin care fields and we are grateful to have them on our team at Arsai. They aspire to make the best and most delightful soap in the world.

You may be wondering how we got our name, Arsai. In Phoenician (the ancestors of all Lebanese people) mythology, Arsai was the name of a Phoenician Goddess and means "She of the Earth," perfect for our mission of empowering women and creating products using ingredients from the Earth. We believe all women should be celebrated as goddesses therefore we chose to honor all the goddesses of our past, along with the current and future generation of goddesses by naming our company Arsai Soap. 

Our goal at Arsai is to create chemical-free, handmade, plant based olive oil soaps that follow the traditional methods and ingredients the people of Bziza have used for over 100 years. They have proven the effects of their handcrafted soaps on skin care over many generations and we believe that it is only fair to allow others to experience the same, using modern and creative designs, with unique and pleasant sensory attributes and benefits. We are excited to share the infinite benefits of Arsai with the rest of the world!
